MOBILE SCREENING CAMPAIGNS iN 9 REFUGEE CAMPS TO EDUCATE & RAISE AWARENESS
Working with the Camp Information Teams, Information Sharing Centres and our NGO partners we hold mobile cinema screenings reaching thousands of refugees on issues such as Health & Hygiene, Sex & Gender Based Violence, Water Management, Environmental Protection, Fire Safety, Suicide prevention, Mine Risk Education, Civil Documentation and many other issues which affect their lives and their futures.
MIGRANT LEARNING CENTRE SCREENINGS
Working closely with local partners we hold mobile screenings in the Migrant Learning Centres in the Mae Sot border region reaching students whose parents are migrant workers from Myanmar
Each screening focuses on a different theme or topic which will benefit the migrant students
SCREENINGS WHILE YOU WAIT - HEALTH AWARENESS
We show films in the Out Patient Departments of the Camp Hospitals run by IRC to give patients the opportunity to learn while they wait for appointments.
We support our partners SMRU with screenings for TB patients taking long term treatment. Treatment can extend up to 18 months and our film screenings allow residents to access education and information, as well as much needed enjoyment
We screen in 5 SMRU Ante Natal Clinics - sharing the excellent mother and child series from Global Health Media - which our team has dubbed into Burmese and Karen
Mobile Cinema Screenings in 9 shelter camps along the Thai Myanmar border
Day screenings are held in community spaces, section offices, schools and halls
Night screenings are held in open areas under the stars or in go downs
OPD Screenings are available in Clinic waiting rooms
