FILMS FOR THE COMMUNITY
All our films are made by refugees and former refugees and represent what is possible if disadvantaged youth and adults are given the opportunity to be creative and the tools to be creative with. Made in the languages of the communities they serve, the films have a greater impact by being produced by the community for the commuity. Below are a few of the films that the refugees have produced and shared with the community
MA DO MA KA
A half hour drama film produced with the Thai Border Consortium (TBC) encouraging good nutrition practices through the growing of kitchen gardens. The film shows how even a small space can support the growing of vegetables to ensure a good diet and even generate an income to help with daily costs
HYGIENE LIFESTYLE
A 42-minute drama film which raises awareness of safe hygiene & disease prevention practices to help protect against diarrhoea, promote clean household environments and avoid mosquito borne diseases such as malaria and dengue fever.
WATER IS LIFE
A one hour drama film produced with Solidarités International highlighting the many challenges and solutions involved in the work of Safe Water Management and control of waterborne diseases in a densely populated community where diarrhea is common and diseases such as malaria, dengue and cholera are easily transmitted.
TREAD CAREFULLY
A 50-minute traveller’s tale that follows two brothers, illustrating the key messages of HI (Humanity & Inclusion) Mine Risk Education programme on how to avoid landmine contact.
RECYCLE OF LIFE
A 45-minute animated drama film which highlights good environmental behaviours related to sustainable farming practices and sound waste management.
TIPPY TAP
A short film which encourages hand washing through the creation of a ‘tap’ made of household rubbish.

WHERE’S MY SCHOOL?
A 2 min short spot produced using stop motion technique. Inspired by Kubo and the 2 strings the stop motion format shows how throwing rubbish damages life
